A fully armed worker's division is marching through Petrograd. Haim and Abraham are standing by the window watching them.

'We will march bravely into battle . . .' sing the marchers.

Haim opens the window.

'And we'll follow you . . .' he joins in the refrain.

'And we shall die to a man . . .' continue the marchers.

Abraham slams the window shut: 'Die on your own . . .'
